Stokke: Putting Baby First

Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of the brand for years but, my youngest is 3 and when he was born, we were lucky enough to have a huge family living nearby and they bought us everything we needed from Graco. Far be it from me to turn down gifts :) So, this time around we are across the country from our entire family & friends circuit so, we will be buying everything ourselves. I'm happy to say that I was already planning to buy Stokke's Tripp Trapp highchair.

The chair is available in 11 colors and has a ton of cute accessories to coordinate with it. This is the ONE chair I will ever buy for this child because it is made for 6 months old to 300 pounds. Yes, 300 pounds! You have to check out this Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair demo of the chair, it converts into a toddler highchair and then to a big kid chair and finally an adult chair.

While at Blogher, Land of Nod was hosting an event along with Stokke for 15 expecting bloggers. I was fortunate enough to have been one of those women. Jennifer James of Mom Bloggers Club was recently named the Stokke Social Media Manager for the US so she of course was there as well. We learned about Stokke's fabulous ethics and what they stand for.

I was most impressed with the Stokke Xplory because I knew it was an amazing stroller...I had no idea HOW truly wonderful the product is.

I adore the traditional buggy option of the stroller. CNN did a study which showed that facing out strollers cause stress to babies The Xplory has a few ways you can customize the stroller position as well as an adjustable stroller handle which is perfect for my darling husband. He hates that he has to slouch to push a regular stroller. I can't even begin to tell you how fantastic this stroller is and although it comes with a hefty price tag of $1,199.99 it seems to be so worth it.

The Stokke Sleepi Crib is designed to be just like mommy's tummy..cozy and small.

How completely adorable is this round crib? I'm not going to lie--a circle crib immediately reminds me of Rosemary's Baby...creepy. The Stokke one did not do that to me, it was just too darling. It converts into an oval crib and then a toddler bed, twin bed and then two chairs. Yup, chairs! It is slim enough to fit through a standard doorway which is perfect for my situation because baby #3 will be wheeled between my room and my daughter's room and my son's room when Daddy is out of town. It really just depends on the night which room we sleep in when Dad isout of town. With the Stokke Sleepi Crib, I don't have to worry about buying a seperate bassinet that the baby will outgrow soon anyway, I will have this one basic set from birth to college!

I have been buzzing around town with girfriends since I have been home and I have been telling them all how totally wonderful they would be to all get me these products. :) LOL And, with my family back in Cali who are all desperately wanting to buy a gift for baby, I have already told them to send gift cards...because I have my heart set on Stokke.

For the record, Stokke & Land of Nod came together to give the 15 mommies not only some fabulous items from Land of Nod, we all were in for a BIG surprise. We were given the Tripp Trapp highchair! :D Then, we went to a yummy dinner and had a blast talking baby. It was truly the best experience I had while at BlogHer.

$1,199.99 for a stroller because someone doesn't like to push 'a regular one'?!

First world problem x 1000.

idogcow: Yeah, I get where you are coming from but, if you are a mom like me, you buy a "regukar" stroller for $300 {at LEAST} then you buy a jogging stroller $400, then you buy an umbrella stroller $100 THEN you need a stroller that is comfy for Disneyland days that can carry a toddler $300-$400...it adds up and FAST! With the Xplory--you buy ONE STROLLER! It fits an infant up to 45 pounds...you have to see the Demo of it in action! You don't have to fold up the stroller to go up stairs--the back wheels scooch forward and the seat stays in place..if you have a tiny one, you know how awful it is to have to take the baby out of the stroller to walk up stairs--now you don't have to.

Truly truly truly you NEED to see this stroller in action!

It's so nice to read something positive about BlogHer. Looking at the pictures, it is hard to decide what my favorite would be, but I think it is the stroller. The cover on it would have been great when my kids were babies.

I wanted a round crib at first two, but then i realized how fast the baby would out grow it. They should make them bigger huh? I dont think I would spend that much on a stroller, but the high chair was pretty darn cool! Im so excited for you and your new baby bearings! <3
